Amiphobia’s White Hats Hackathon 2023 conducted successfully at Amity University Lucknow

The CyberPeace Foundation and Amity University (Lucknow Campus) jointly organized the two-day Hackathon, White Hats: “Exploring cyber countermeasures”, which was a great success. The event provided the participants with an opportunity to learn and develop their skills in the field of cyber security. The event was inaugurated by Brig. U K Chopra, Amity University Lucknow Campus Director on March 16, 2023. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Nitin Pandey and the Guest Speaker was Mr. Arya Tyagi.

The Hackathon was led and organized by Dr. Rajiv Pandey, Senior Member IEEE, Senior Faculty CS/IT, Amity University. and coordinated by Mr. Himanshu.

Mr. Nitin Pandey is a Cyber Intelligence and Crime Investigator, Dark Web Analyst, Penetration Tester, Security Researcher, International Speaker, Author, Trainer, and Blogger who is currently working as a Senior Cyber Crime Consultant with Uttar Pradesh Cyber Crime at Police Headquarters Lucknow and also Coordinator of Uttar Pradesh at CyberPeace Foundation.

He has more than one and a half decade’s experience in the field of Cyber Security Domain. 

He is focused and concerned on the Safety and Empowerment of Women and Children, has trained over 2 lac law enforcement officers, students, and netizens, and has delivered more than 1000 talks all across the globe.

The participants were able to gain knowledge about the various aspects of cyber security such as OSINT practices, Incident Reporting Mechanisms, Cyber Ethics, Digital well-being, and so on. The event was a great platform for the participants to showcase their skills and knowledge in the field of cyber security. The participants were able to gain valuable insights into the various aspects of cybersecurity and the importance of cybersecurity in today’s world.

The Hackathon was designed to explore cyber countermeasures and to provide participants with an opportunity to develop their skills in the field of cyber security. The participants were given targets to find out open ports, then produce an admin password and get access to it.

The first five participants who completed Round 1 were selected for Round 2. In Round 2, the participants had to answer Nitin Pandey’s Quiz questions during his session. The questions were random and related to OSINT practices, Incident Reporting Mechanisms, Cyber Ethics, Digital well-being, and so on. The winner of the Hackathon was awarded airdrops and a trophy, while the runner-ups were given gifts and a trophy. The winner of this Hackathon was Mr. Parth Nigam and Runner Up was Mr. Anant Tripathi.

It will not long be gone that Amity Lucknow might reorganize more of these informative events which not only benefit the students but also develop their understanding of the world of hacking and many such malpractices of life nowadays. These events to promote cybersecurity might be a boon and many more to come in line.
