Recently we came across one horrible cybercrime in Chandigarh University where one girl made MMS of girls who are her fellow hostel mates while bathing. So as responsible cyber security organisation we are providing some useful information towards cyber crime awareness and reporting so anyone can identify and report such incidents.
If you are living in hostel or PG please make sure your changing rooms/bathrooms have no loopholes so that anyone can not record videos through the windows or gapes in door or walls
Keep in check with your fellow roommates and hostel housekeeping staff for any suspicious activity check your surroundings properly for any kind of hidden cameras or devices.
There are multiple ways to report cyber crime.
1- File online complaint on national cyber crime portal
2- Go to nearest police station or cyber cell and file complaint under cyber crime
3- Call on national cybercrime helpline number “1930” for financial fraud.
If you face any kind of cyber crime without any fear feel free to contact any law enforcement authorities near you.
