Ole Hinrichs, a Danish student, from Technical University of Denmark, also called DTU. He is a student in the 6th semester in the department of energy science and engineering at IIT Bombay. He further mentioned that he chose India as an engineering student because the country is rich in diversity and the country can help him become a better human being and a better engineer. IIT Bombay is one of the great Institutions and world-renowned which would benefit and teach him a lot.

IIT Bombay is one of the most prestigious institutions, and has been the most reputed and most competitive institutions for science and engineering in Asia. The institution has always been the first choice for the top rank holders in the science and engineering. IIT Bombay is known for 4-year, 5-year, and 2-year programmes. The buoyant environment of the IITB Campus catches the eye of the top ranked students from across the world. The campus also has two high schools, one of which is a Kendriya Vidyalya and the other one is known as IIT Campus School.

International students are fascinated about the IIT Bombay Campus and are interested in pursuing their undergraduate studies B.Tech, Dual Degree and the five year integrated M.Sc. programme have to appear Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). IITs from all over India collectively conduct this exam. International students seek admission to various postgraduate and research programmes either as self-financing or through CEFP (Government of India).

Belonging to a completely different culture in Denmark, it is not easy for any international to adapt the Indian culture. By observing and accepting the culture, he would be able to pin-point the discrepancies in the cultures; however, he could note the differences in the food culture and traffic on the road. He mentioned that the event organised by IIT Bombay, Mood Indigo was free from alcohol which is completely different from the cultural fests in Denmark.

Ole said that the campus life is much higher spirited than in Denmark. Due to the culture different from his own country, his friends and family were apprehended about his educational visit in India. Meanwhile, his mentors and professors were elated about his further studies at IIT Bombay.

On his arrival in IITB Campus, he got to meet many other international students in IITB hostel. He was introduced to the Indian culture though the locals and he sincerely obeyed the advice, not to try and go to bad areas and he found a way of liking the environment in an entirely new country. Ole seems excited about his further experience in this institution, as he said he would love to attend the Mood Indigo again next year but he might be back to Denmark till then.
