Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, and Agra receive the state’s first police commissioners

According to an official decree, the first police commissioners for Uttar Pradesh’s three new commissioners of Ghaziabad, Agra, and Prayagraj were appointed on Monday.

According to the late-night ruling, Ramit Sharma was named commissioner of Prayagraj, Preetinder Singh was nominated commissioner of Agra, and Ajay Mishra was elected commissioner of Ghaziabad.

Along with the four already in place in Kanpur, Varanasi, Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), and Lucknow, the UP government has already announced the addition of three new police commissioners.
Other transfers were also made by the state administration in the same chronological order.

The order stated that Alok Singh has been moved from Gautam Buddh Nagar to Lucknow headquarters as an additional DG and that Ashok Mutha Jain has been appointed as the new CP of Varanasi. To become the ADG at the Lucknow headquarters, Satish Ganesh was demoted from the position of CP Varanasi.

The notification states that Tarun Gaba, secretary of the home department, will take Tarmi Singh’s place as the new CP here at Gautam Buddh Nagar. Tarmi Singh is now the IG Range Lucknow.
Abhishek Yadav, SP, Intelligence, Lucknow, has been replaced by Shailesh Pandey, SSP Prayagraj, who has been assigned to Mathura in the same role.

Prabhakar Chowdhury, the SSP for Agra, is now the Commandant of PAC Sitapur.

While Rakesh Singh, the IG of the Special Security Force (SSF), has been relocated to Bareilly in the same position, Chandra Prakash, the SSF’s IG, has been assigned to Prayagraj.

Prashand Verma, who was transferred to Bahraich as an SP, has been replaced as the new SSP in Ayodhya by SSP Ghaziabad Muniraj G.

Agra’s additional inspector of police, Bahraich Keshav Kumar Chaudhary the SP, has been sent to the city.
