Pragya Gogoi is a 20-year-old award-winning writer, poet, engineer, Robotics CAD designer and
musician hailing from the North-eastern state of Assam, India. A literature enthusiast since primary
school days, the seeds of creative writing and poetry germinated in her heart at a young age of eight.
After years of experimenting with manifold writing styles and genres, winning umpteen
competitions and writing for various online platforms, she debuted as an author with her poetry
collection “Whispers of a Nyctophile” that hit the Amazon bestseller list within just a month of
release. “Whispers of a Nyctophile” is a staggering collection of poetry exhibiting a plethora of
emotions of love, heartbreak, strength, nostalgia, childhood, harsh realities plaguing the world and
beauty of nature- all under one roof. The book comprises of both long and short poems penned with
strong vocabulary on diversified topics, written over a span of merely 3 days. Pragya holds the
record of being the youngest Indian author to write a best-selling debut book in just 3 days. The
Hindustan Times and Outlook India have listed her book among 13 most impactful reads in modern
literature and 10 must read books in contemporary Indian literature respectively. Recently, The
Week Magazine honoured her as one of the 10 writers who powered through the world with their
books. Pragya has also co-authored around 10 poetry books and has written for many National and
International magazines. She has won more than 15 awards for her contribution to literature till
date. “Whispers of a Nyctophile” got nominated to the LITFEST 2020-21 edition and Pragya got
nominated for the “Author of the Year Award” in the same LITFEST. She soon won the 1st award for
her book- LITERARY ICON FOR 2020 in the LITFEST 2020-21. It was followed by Best Debut Author
