Experts in the Tihar Jail have revealed that the guy seen on video massaging Satyendar Jain’s feet is not a certified physiotherapist even as the Arvind Kejriwal-led party had claimed, but rather a prisoner in a rape trial, adding a fresh wrinkle to the argument.
According to official reports from Tihar Jail, the “masseur” depicted in the security footage is Rinku, a prisoner who was sentenced to prison in 2021 after being found guilty of rape by the safeguarding children from sexual Offenses (POCSO) statute.
Responding to the accusations, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) refers to it as a political witch hunt. BJP has been attempting to discredit Kejriwal for the past ten days, according to party leader Gopal Rai, since the AAP began its campaign. They have a slogan that reads “badnaam kia hai, badnaam karenge,” whereas ours says “kaam kia hai, kaam karenge.” CBI revealed in writing that Amit Shah was granted a special cell while he was detained. Not Jain’s treatment but rather how the BJP will be treated in the MCD elections on April 4 that is the real problem.
The BJP had made some recordings showing Jain receiving “VIP treatment” while incarcerated, and these videos had led to a verbal spat in between the parties involved, with the saffron party also filing a FIR against further Jain and Kejriwal.
Amit Malviya of the BJP criticized the AAP for maintaining Jain’s position in the cabinet. Malviya noted in a tweet that Satyendra Jain had been a ministry in Arvind Kejriwal’s cabinet despite spending the previous five months behind bars. In a flagrant breach of the jail’s rules, he has been given a masseuse, a TV, a bed, bottled water, and all amenities. What makes Kejriwal decide not to fire him? Why does he fear that?
Manish Sisodia of the AAP supported Jain and claimed that doctors had regularly recommended that he undergo physiotherapy. Satyendar Jain has been imprisoned for the last six months thanks to BJP plots against him. The degree to which they have descended is such that they are currently making fun of someone’s condition. People can become ill and receive medical care. Even Prime Minister can get sick and receive medical care, but the BJP is the only party that can make jokes about it.
But jail officials asserted that the footage was outdated and that the implicated officer and jail employees had already been subject to disciplinary measures. Jain was allegedly taking advantage of opulent amenities at Tihar Jail, according to information provided earlier by Enforcement Directorate (ED) before a Special PMLA court.
A cell massage is not permitted, according to the previous PRO of Tihar Jail. In the cell, he was receiving a massage, which was against jail regulations, he continued. Every prison has a physiotherapy centre in which a physiotherapist or other qualified professional may administer massages, so that’s what I’m talking about when I say physiotherapy.
Ajit Kumar, the jail superintendent at Tihar Jail and a DANICS staff, was suspended again after Delhi Gubernatorial Candidate VK Saxena has earlier ordered an investigation into the situation. In a recent ruling, the L-G stated, “He have prima facie been determined to have undertaken irregularities that necessitate scrutiny.”
In accordance with the requirements of an Anti- Money Laundering Act, Jain was taken into custody on May 30. (PMLA). The co-accused Ankush Jain, as well as Vaibhav Jain, were basically acting like fools while he was in de facto charge of shell corporations allegedly used for money laundering.
Based on the CBI’s FIR filed against some suspects, including Amarendra Dhari Singh, Udai Shanker Awasthi, MD of IFFCO, Pankaj Jain, Founder of Jyoti Trading Corporation, and Rare Earth Group, Dubai, the ED opened a money laundering probe. The CBI charged them with planning a criminal conspiracy, lying, and other criminal offences.
