Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’, based on the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits, is one of the highest-grossing films of the year 2022. This film narrates untold tales of atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits 32 years ago, and is soon going to take the form of a web series. It is true as Vivek Agnihotri himself has shared a post on social media informing about this.
Vivek has confirmed by tweeting that he is soon going to make a web series on ‘The Kashmir Files’ for the OTT platform. In fact, a fan of Vivek Agnihotri on twitter wrote, reminding the director, “Sir, there is still a documentary left of the real firsthand experiences that Kashmiri Pandits shared with you during the making of the film. We are waiting.” Replying to this tweet, Vivek said, “We are making a web series.”
Along with answering the fan’s question, Vivek Agnihotri also took a jibe at Koffee With Karan host Karan Johar and his guest. Vivek Agnihotri on Thursday tweeted an indirect take on Koffee With Karan host Karan Johar. In this post, he advised the ‘Koffee Gang boys’ to focus on their films. He tweeted, ‘I think the naughty boys of Coffee Club should ask their social media management agencies and PR firms to focus on their film instead of fighting me. I’m not the kind you can break with free hampers.”
Not only this, Vivek also took a dig at the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra. During a recent interview, Vivek Agnihotri took a jibe at Ayan Mukerji and said, “Brahmastra, does he even know the meaning of this word? And then he talks of Astra Vers, what is that too? Then you are your director. Who can’t even pronounce the word Brahmastra properly. He is an amazing director. I love his ‘Wake Up Sid’ and many other movies. I hope that He must have made a great film this time too. I am worried about him like a mother is worried about her children. I am very disappointed.”
